Free Turnover Toolkit extends JD Miller's two sales leadership books

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The toolkit and its AI prompt library give boards, CROs and sellers practical tools for the time of year when next year's team gets decided.

CHICAGO, September 28, 2026 — JD Miller, PhD, author of The CRO's Guide to Winning in Private Equity and The AI Handbook for Sales Professionals (both Catalyst Ink), launched The Turnover Toolkit, a free set of templates, workbooks and AI prompts at jdmillerphd.com/the-day. The toolkit is bonus content for both books, and readers don't need to buy either one to use it.

The toolkit is built around what Miller calls "the day nobody puts on the calendar": the point, usually in September, when a board decides whether the CRO stays for next year and sales leaders decide who's on their team. Half of it is for the people making that decision. The other half is for the people the decision gets made about.

For leaders making the call, it includes a talent nine-block scoring tool, a weekly flash report, a one-page plan with a monthly board narrative, a competency-fit framework for what a board should be evaluating, and a structured interview process.

For the people being decided about, it includes a "go-bag" checklist, resume guidance on measurable impact, a weekly manager update, a territory plan, a personal development plan, and guides to counteroffers and separation agreements.

A companion library of AI prompts at jdmillerphd.com/ai-prompts-for-the-day lets readers build their own nine-block, flash report, one-page plan, go-bag, resume rewrite, territory plan or development plan in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, putting the role-by-role approach of The AI Handbook for Sales Professionals to work.

"Boards can handle bad news," said Miller. "What they can't handle is hearing it for the first time after it's too late to respond. Most of what's in this toolkit is the kind of thing that's easy to put off until the week you suddenly need it, so it's built to be done now, while nothing's on fire."
