CHICAGO, November 18, 2025 — Catalyst Ink today announced it will publish The AI Handbook for Sales Professionals by JD Miller, PhD, in 2026. The book is a practical guide for chief revenue officers, sales leaders and sellers putting artificial intelligence to work in their sales organizations.
Gartner predicts that by 2027, 95% of seller research workflows will begin with AI, up from less than 20% in 2024. Miller's book is written for the leaders managing that shift. It builds on the planning and execution principles of his first book, The CRO's Guide to Winning in Private Equity (Catalyst Ink, 2025), a #1 Amazon Best Seller in Private Equity, and shows how to add AI to them across the go-to-market organization.
Miller combines a PhD in organizational communication with decades as a chief revenue officer and his current role as CRO in Residence at Rothschild & Co.'s Five Arrows.
"AI isn't about replacing sales professionals; it's about augmenting them to be more strategic, more informed, and ultimately more human in their interactions," said Miller. "My goal with this handbook is to cut through the hype, demystify the technology, and give leaders a clear, actionable playbook, turning data into wisdom and automation into a competitive advantage while letting sales professionals flex their unique humanity."
The book provides a framework for:
• Developing an AI strategy that aligns with core business objectives
• Evaluating and implementing AI tools for lead generation, pipeline management and forecasting
• Restructuring sales workflows to use automation well
• Training sales teams to move from traditional selling to AI-supported advising
• Balancing efficiency with humanity through an ethics-based approach
